Using both nature and repurposed items, campers will spend their week learning new techniques and creating a collection of artworks inspired by their experiences.

Over the course of this four-day camp, we will delve into Space and learn more about the Universe around us. Combining art, science, and LOTS of imagination, campers will be creating works of art that are truly out of this world!

Each day, a special animal friend will visit the class from Animal Hospital of Whitfield County. Campers will enjoy a special lesson about the visiting animal led by veterinary staff before creating a new masterpiece inspired by their friend of the day. A piece from each camper will be selected to be made into a print to hang in the lobby of Animal Hospital of Whitfield County.

Students will spend the first day learning the process of mixing their own air-dry clay from basic kitchen items. The next two days’ students will learn 3 key hand-building techniques to use for a multitude of projects. The final day will be spent painting and finishing their 1-2 projects from the week.

This exciting camp is designed to provide experience across three artistic programs for those who love music, dance, and art! We will begin each day in our art class with Melissa Herz splashing colors about, creating, and using our imagination. Next, we will head over to music with Anna Joseph Faith and stretch our vocal muscles with activities, games, and instruments. Our final hour will go over basic dance techniques, choreography, and some easy musical numbers with Holly Potts. The capstone for the week will be a collaborative mini-performance open to parents and family members in the last half hour on Thursday morning.

Taught by Creative Arts Guild staff, this camp will explore art through the lens of line, color, pattern, and texture. Your child will have fun creating stimulating work with a variety of materials and mediums while learning about abstract expressionism, pop art, and folk art.

In this class watercolor, acrylic, and oil paints will be introduced and used. While this is a structured course on painting methods, students’ interests on subject matters will be taken into consideration.

Students will get to experience 4 different printmaking styles and will gather a broad understanding of what traditional and non-tradition printmaking is. We will work with different material and will produce 4 separate editions of work!

Students will learn and engage their creative skills learning about fossilized creatures and some of what the cave people used to draw with and on. We will study cave drawings and natural art materials.

Join Paula Plott Gregg for this adventure-filled four-day camp as students explore and challenge themselves with new techniques and mediums. Student artists will have fun and get a little messy as they embark on creative projects using clay, collage, wood, and mixed media to make their own masterpieces.

Live Model Open Studio (All Levels Welcome)

Our Live Model Open Studio provides an opportunity for artists of every level to practice the principles of line, mass, composition, anatomy, foreshortening, values, color, and other components of classical fine art. This is where artists can directly apply their chosen tactile medium across many styles, engaging in the practice of visually translating the spirit and meaning of the human form. Feel free to sketch, draw, sculpt, or paint – odorless solvents only.

Registration fees are billed once yearly per family and covers all members of the household in any Guild classes with which they participate.

Withdrawal Policy
Registering for a class and/or lesson is a commitment to attend as scheduled. Visual Art classes are billed in session so the Guild must be notified before the next session begins. Students withdrawing from a session after the session has started are responsible for those sessions fees.
