Noah Collins

Creative Arts Guild welcomes Noah Collins for May Noon Arts

The Creative Arts Guild announces local musician Noah Collins will be the featured performer for the next Noon Arts Program. Noah has been composing music he wanted to hear since 2000. He joined his first band that year as a drummer with Black Tuesday. They played what he refers to as “garage rock” because they never left the garage. In 2002, he went on to play with Dear Abi, an acoustic rock band. There he was actively involved in songwriting, vocals, guitar and harmonica. The band performed locally and cut their first album, Dear Abi in 2002. It was for this album that Noah copyrighted his first song, “Maria”. The album sold locally and Noah made his first live appearance at “At Home Café” in Chattanooga, Tennessee that year.

Noah’s musical ability continued to grow over the years by playing open mics around the Chattanooga and Atlanta area. 2004 found him back on the drums and the harmonica with the popular regional band, The Rounders. It was here that Noah acquired his interest in Honkytonk/Rockabilly. Currently, he continues to write songs and perform rock and roll with The Stateline Project. You’ll often find him singing and playing his new songs and old favorites at He-Brews Café in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Noah will sing and perform his own compositions on guitar and possibly piano at the Noon Arts Program. It will be held on Thursday May 15th, beginning at noon and concluding by 1:00p.m in the Creative Arts Guild Main Gallery. Admission is free. Those attending may bring a lunch or purchase one from the Guild by calling 706-278-0168 by a day prior to the event. For more information on the program, or if you would like to be considered as a feature performer in a future program, please call Music Director Lisa Elders at 706-259-1822.
