The Grassroots Arts Program (GAP) of the Georgia Council for the Arts provides funding for new arts projects and emerging arts organizations in every Georgia county. The Georgia General Assembly reinvests this money across the state with the goal that every Georgian has the opportunity to experience the arts. Distribution of this grant money is made at the local level to ensure that the specific needs and opportunities of each county are addressed at a local level.
The Creative Arts Guild partners with the Georgia Council for the Arts to administer GAP funding for the following ten Northwest Georgia counties

Grant applications are due (postmarked or delivered) by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2009.
GAP grants fund new community-based arts projects that serve a diverse population and afford new or unique arts experiences or arts educational opportunities. Organizations interested in applying for GAP grants must be incorporated in Georgia as a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization or unit of government. Grants of up to $1,500 per organization are available for use on one or more projects. This is a 50% matching grant, so each dollar granted must be matched .50 by the grantee.
