New sessions of Kindermusik to start soonThe Creative Arts Guild is set to begin new sessions of Kindermusik. The “Our Time” class for 1 ½ to 3 year olds is called Fiddle-dee-dee. This unit takes its name from the beloved folk song. Creatures from the animal kingdom are explored. Class time encourages a child’s discovery of specially designed instruments, textures, sounds and movements; language skills are fostered with singing, sound imitation and vocal play. A parent or caregiver must attend classes with the child. The session will be held on Mondays beginning on January 26th and run for 15 weeks. Class time is 9:30am to 10:15am. Class fee is $160 for Creative Arts Guild members and $175 for nonmembers. Supply fee is $55 for the 1st child and $30 for a sibling kit. The other session of Kindermusik is the “Village” class for newborns to 18 month olds called Hickory, Dickory, Tickle and Bounce. Through a unique blend of multi-level activities that include creative movement, vocal play, object and instrument exploration, and a colorful literature component, your baby’s growth and development will be stimulated and all of his senses engaged. During each 45 minute class, Baby’s language development is encouraged through the rhythmic nature of favorite childhood nursery rhymes. Using basic American Sign Language this unit offers parents a new way to communicate with Baby before s/he is ready for verbal speech. A parent of caregiver must attend classes with the child. The session will be held on Mondays beginning January 19th and run for 8 weeks. Class time is 10:45 to 11:30am. Class fee is $85 for Creative Arts Guild members and $100 for nonmembers.
