Seven Day in Frisco Colorado
The Colorado condo sleeps six, has state of the art amenities, with three bedrooms and baths. It is a top floor unit with a beautiful view of the Dillon Reservoir and is only a five minute car drive to Frisco’s historic downtown. Depending on the season, Frisco offers skiing, and a variety of water sports including kayaking, canoeing, power boating and sailing. The small town of Frisco sits at the base of the Rocky Mountains, was originally a mining community, and boast a number of hiking, biking, and horse trails. The winner has one year to use the condominium. The 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin was created to fulfill the artistic vision of Augustus Saint-Gaudens. He had originally designed the coin in 1907 for the $20 Gold Double Eagle. The technology of his age did not allow the coins to be struck in ultra high relief as he had intended. The United States Mint has produced a digital recreation of the coin based on the original plasters. The coin is struck in 24 karat gold and contains one troy ounce of gold. Modern technology has allowed them to create the coin as the artist originally intended.
There were a few updates to the UHR Double Eagle to reflect the current age. The number of stars on the obverse of the coin has been updated from 46 to 50, to represent the current number of states. The date has been updated to MMIX, Roman numerals for the release date of 2009. The motto "In God We Trust" has been added on the reverse, just below the rays of the sun. Both sides of the coin were given a small border to create a more consistent edge.
Each premier raffle item is valued at approximately $2500.
Tickets for the Colorado condominium and Gold Coin are currently on sale at the Creative Arts Guild or from Guild Board members. You do not have to be present to win.
