Katherine Roberts to perform at Guild’s February’s Noon Arts |

The Creative Arts Guild February Noon Arts program will feature vocalist Katherine Roberts accompanied by her parents Jan Roberts and Vann Roberts. Mr. Roberts will accompany his daughter on several songs. Donald "Bones" Boring will be her primary accompaniment. Boring is a soundman, deejay, professional musician and owner of the Music Factory in downtown Dalton. Noon Arts is scheduled for Thursday, February 18th.
Katherine grew up in Dalton, Georgia, where she was active in First United Methodist Choir, Dalton Little Theatre and CAG's Summer Youth Theatre. At Dalton High, Katherine was fortunate to sing with Andy Baker's Catamount Singers for four years. While in Dalton, Katherine took flute from Beth Blackburn and voice from Ruth Baker. In recent years, Katherine sang at Cagney's Jazz Club in Myrtle Beach, Community Bible Study Praise Team, and several holiday parties. She has also participated in and organized two benefit concerts showcasing local bands. As part of her AmeriCorps term as Faith Relations Director for Habitat for Humanity of Horry County, Katherine produced a choir concert with seven area choirs. The Noon Arts program will be Thursday February 18th, in the Creative Arts Guild gallery, beginning at noon and concluding by 1:00p.m. Those attending the free event may bring a lunch or order one from the Guild by calling 706-278-0168 by a day prior to the event.
