Open to guitarists of all levels, the workshop is designed to help you make the most of your time with your guitar. Muriel will cover technique, arranging, interpretation and inspiration on both guitar and harp-guitar, interspersing performance with discussion. Every participant will have the opportunity to ask questions and/or play a piece they are working on, to explore techniques for better playing and musicianship.  Muriel will give all in-person participants a free set of GHS strings. A raffle will be conducted for Zoom online participants.

Muriel is the first woman to have won the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship. She has learned from legendary musicians Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Christopher Parkening, and jammed with Jimmy Page and Tommy Emmanuel. She hosts the famous Muriel Anderson’s All Star Guitar Night and founded the Music for Life Alliance charity. Her CD, Nightlight Daylight, was chosen as one of the top 10 CDs of the decade by Guitar Player Magazine, and her “Heartstrings” recording accompanied the astronauts on the space shuttle Discovery.  Muriel Anderson is a guitarist, harp-guitarist, and composer who embraces music from all over the world. Her playing reflects a sense of grace and joy, interspersed with humor.
