The Creative Arts Guild is Georgia’s oldest multidisciplinary community arts center. We celebrated our 54th anniversary in 2017. The Creative Arts Guild is located in northwest Georgia, approximately 20 miles south of Chattanooga TN and 70 miles north of Atlanta.
The Creative Arts Guild’s 54th Annual Festival of Arts and Crafts weekend will be held September 15th - 17th, 2017 on the Guild’s campus at 520 West Waugh Street, Dalton, GA 30720.
FESTIVAL art exhibits include a juried Indoor Patron Exhibit which will be on view in the Guild's 2000 square foot Main Gallery with an opening reception during our Festival Preview Party on Friday, September 15th at 7 pm. The Indoor Patron Exhibit is open to artists over the age of 18 working in all mediums and will remain open until October 25th.
FESTIVAL is free and open to the public Saturday, September 16th, 10am-5pm and Sunday, September 17th, 11am-5pm.
FESTIVAL features the Indoor Artist Exhibits - including a juried Patron Exhibit and an Outdoor Artist Market as well as live music, kids' activities and performances, self-guided tours of the Robert T. Webb Sculpture Garden and unique food vendors throughout the weekend.
A shuttle will be provided for overflow parking:
between the Guild and First Baptist Church on Saturday and between the Guild and the Library and Senior Center on Sunday.
FESTIVAL is open to the public and admission is free. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the power of the arts in our community!
