Health & Wellness "Wordshop"

March 11th, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.

An Exploration of Wellness and Health Through the Spoken and Written Word

Wrens Nest Center for Wellbeing and the Creative Arts Guild are partnering to offer a Health & Wellness “Wordshop” – an Exploration of Wellness and Health Through the Spoken and Written Word on Saturday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to Noon at Wrens Nest Center for Wellbeing, located at 2001 Shields Rd. in Dalton, Georgia.

Creative professionals from the Creative Arts Guild and Wrens Nest Center will lead participants on a unique exploration into the power of the written and spoken word. Attendees are asked to bring along their favorite words, lyrics or poem for an interactive experience in learning how words shape our lives, heal our bodies and connect us to each other. The goal of the event is to encourage stepping beyond the role of listeners or readers of the spoken and written word into the perspective of how these art forms can benefit us physically and emotionally. The power of the spoken and written word and its effects on healing, growth and wellness will be examined and demonstrated. This “wordshop” is the first in a series of experiences through which the Creative Arts Guild and Wrens Nest Center for Wellbeing are partnering together to educate the Dalton community.

The cost for the workshop is $35 and is designed for adults, but ages 12 and up are welcome. Comfortable clothing is encouraged. If you have questions, call Amanda at (706) 259-1974.
