Celebrate 100 years of Hollywood with a special collection of artwork, vintage movie posters and advertistments, and cultural icons out of local private collections at the Creative Art Guild's newest exhibit, The Art Of The Cinema, running from January 6th to February 24th, 2017. As always, these exhibits are free and open to the public.

This exhibit will feature two different First Friday Receptions as well as special classic movie screenings throughout the months of January and February.
 

Opening Receptions:

January 6th, 5:30 - 7:30 pm | Animation & Adventure
February 3rd, 5:30 - 7:30 pm | Horror, Spy, & Exploitation

 

Movie Screenings:

January 6th, 7:30 pm | A Decade Under The Innocence
A 70 minute documentary about the first batch of Creative Arts Guild Young Filmmakers back in the 1970's who made ambitious films on Super 8 film. Interviews with the participants and footage from the films present the beginning of the Dalton film scene, many of them having gone on to make a career in film or advertising.

January 13th, 7:30 pm | A Surprise Comedy Feature 
The Funniest Movie You've Never Seen!

February 3rd, 7:30 pm | Island Girl
A feature film comedy from 1991 filmed in Dalton by former CAG Young Filmmakers Allen C. Posten and Mark Hannah. Lots of familiar faces and locations. A blast from the past!

February 10th, 7:30 pm | A Surprise Swinging 60's Spy Movie
An exploitative film in the style of James Bond, Austin Powers, and others!
